Laundry

You know you're not single anymore...when you show your son how to do his own laundry...only later on you find out your wife had shown him too, but he feigns ignorance so that you would help him...You also realize your son made his own pancakes and eggs the other day so you ask him how long has he known how to make them...he says for a long time...you then ask why he always asks you to make his eggs and pancakes for him...he thinks for a second and responds "Because you make the best pancakes and eggs!"...Hmmmm...you wink at him and ask "even better than mom's?"...he replies, "that could be our little secret!"...You realize you have a charmer for a son!

Missing Stuff

You know you're not single anymore...when you can't seem to find anything you've left on the counter the day before...Mysteriously things move overnight and no one seems to remember where they moved to...Sometimes you find papers in different rooms or stacked in different places...or stuff is now in the garage or in the car or on the porch...or in your kids' rooms...But yet no one remembers how it got there...

Hunting Seminar pt 2

You know you're not single anymore...when you realize you now know more about turkeys than you ever cared to know...After the wild turkey hunting seminar, you now know about all the fancy calls you can make to get their attention...Plus you learned about the breeding habits of the Eastern Wild Turkey...You figure you can now say your life has been fulfilled...At least you will never think of Butterballs the same ever again!

Hunting Seminar

You know you're not single anymore....when you drive two hours after work to a wild turkey hunting seminar with your son...You still are not sure if you will ever turkey hunt, but you figure your son loves it enough... you definitely would like to show interest in the things he enjoys...You figure you might even one day be hunting for your Thanksgiving bird...Meanwhile, you look forward to the car trip with him there and back...who knows what kind of conversations you'll have with him!

Immunizations

You know you're not single anymore...when you take your son to get his public school immunizations...Poor guy, he was a little nervous, but he did extremely well even though one of the shots still hurts several hours later...You know that for the next few years he will ride with you to school every day just like your daughter is currently riding with you...You are looking forward to the extra time with both of your kids...but you know you will not have much control of the radio or A/C for the next few years either!

Recovery Meals

You know you're not single anymore...when your wife is still recovering from her ankle surgery and you have to feed the kids...shall we say "Pizza, everyone?"...but then after three days, you realize that your kids will need more sustenance than "the Meats" and "Pineapple & Ham" on regular crust...You think back to your single days when you didn't eat at home and then you realize this is a great time for your kids to practice being single and to eat out for a week...Yet, then you think how much this week is going to cost you, so you go back to some of the old favorites like "breakfast night", "mac 'n' cheese night", and "soups for everyone night"...You just can't wait for your wife to be literally back on her feet again!
