Kids Away

You know you're not single anymore...when you and your wife have a few quiet days while your children are away but you notice it's almost too quiet...You realize you are getting a preview of what the empty nest will be like in a few years...Meanwhile you notice you have become accustomed to the sound of the Playstation constantly in the background or some Netflix show running...You miss your kids but you cherish this precious time with your wife, too...In either case, you know that all will be back to normal by tomorrow.

Church Youth Trip

You know you're not single anymore...when your children go on an overnight church retreat and you find yourself making checklists for everything they need to take...You've always felt it was good to over prepare than under prepare...Of course your kids are taking enough clothes for twice the length of the stay of the trip...and you have to admit it when you heard there was a set of chaperones that had to back out you were tempted to hop on board the bus...but you figure your kids are going to have the time of their lives and you get a free date night with your wife!
