Insurance

You know you're not single anymore...when your insurance is now a big deal...You used to consider the cheapest medical insurance you could get away with since you never got sick... but now you've got more to consider...and with a 15 year old in the house, you've suddenly started looking at what's going to happen to your car insurance next year!...Ouch!....Driver's Ed is now a priority for your daughter to take!

Personal Devotions

You know you're not single anymore...when your son tells you he wants to start reading the Bible and having devotions by himself...You've had nightly Bible readings with him for about six months almost without fail and you've encouraged him how to study and read the Bible for himself... He still says devotion time has been one of his favorite times with you but he's yearning to grow in his personal faith...You've been looking forward to this day as he takes ownership in his own prayers and readings, although you also recognize that the ways of the child are slipping away as he embraces a young adult mentality...You also know your role will continue to change as he develops more cognitively, emotionally, and spiritually.

Pillow

You know you're not single anymore...when your wife has a TempurPedic pillow and one night you try it out when she is out of town...TempurPedic, where have you been all my life?!?.... You wonder how you ever slept on a normal pillow before!...You mention to your wife how heavenly that pillow was and she tells you that there's a backup pillow in the closet.  Ah! What bliss! ... You haven't slept this good in a long time!... Now you have a TempurPedic that travels with you wherever you sleep.

Packing

You know you're not single anymore... when your wife comes after you and packs extra items in your bags before you leave to go out of town...You usually take a pillow with you on your trip, but your wife thinks to send an extra pillow case with you...You notice when you arrive to your destination that your wife also packed your vitamins for you, too...You're so thankful that she thinks of the little things you don't even consider for trips...You just wonder how you made it all those years without her!

Mowing

You know you're not single anymore...when your children argue over who is going to mow the yard this weekend...Really?!?...Did you just wake up in the Twilight Zone?!?...You do know that the new tractor is fun to ride for a bit, but 3 hours to mow the 2 acre yard is not something to argue about with your sibling...But you don't complain one bit ...in fact, you act like it's the most honorable position in the family to mow the yard...Meanwhile, you enjoy a few weekends without mowing the yard at all...while your kids take turns with the new "toy"...and they can keep on thinking of it as fun while you are reminded about ol' Tom Sawyer getting his friends to whitewash his fence!

Surprise Birthday!

You know you're not single anymore...when you drive 7 hours back home to surprise your daughter on her birthday when she thinks you are out of town and then drive 7 hours back to your original location the next day...Your daughter gives you the biggest hug you've ever had in your life and you know you've made a memory...Besides how could you have missed her birthday?!?...You also realize you've come home to a girl's slumber party until the wee hours of the night!  Well, maybe you can sleep the next night!
