Open House

You know you're not single anymore...when you go to your son's 8th grade open house night and it hits you yet again how fast your kids are growing up...Of course, you entered into his life at 6th grade, but you have seen him grow from a little kid to a young man in just a few short years...Yet as they grow older, you know you're not getting any younger, too...You just hope the graying of your hair just slows down a bit, too....although you are suspicious that your kids have contributed to that, as well!

Tutoring

You know you're not single anymore...when you realize the tutoring services you've provided for your own kids would have made you a fortune in your previous single life...You even get random texts throughout the day from both of your kids for help on math problems...Of course, you think of the day your children go off to college with that all important academic scholarship that you helped them earn with a little school help each night...meanwhile you have to go to Walmart to pick up a poster for the school project that is due tomorrow that should have been finished a week ago.

Late Nights of Work

You know you're not single anymore...when you realize you can't get any real work done until the kids are in bed...It's not that they bother or bug you while you try to grade papers or work on a project; but rather you enjoy their company so much you enjoy listening to their stories and the events of their day...You also realize that "typical" teenagers go about their own business, but your kids do come by and check in on you while you work...and you do feel like it's because they honestly do care...So you don't mind to stay up late many nights to do all the work you need to do.
