Day Off

You know you're not single anymore...when you take off work to be with your wife during her recent ankle surgery...In fact, you used to rarely take off work but now you see every "personal day" as a chance to be with your family...Now, you are actively counting to see if there are any personal days left in the year...You are also just glad you can be there for your family for special days and times they need you...Meanwhile, you are preparing for two months of chauffeuring your family while your wife cannot drive...maybe you'll set up an office in the car so that you can get your work done while the kids are at their work, ball practices, and social activities...You just don't know where exactly to put the hole puncher and the printer.

Lunch Surprise

You know you're not single anymore...when you have to fast in the morning for a bio-metric screening test and then you miss lunch at work because of a meeting, yet your daughter comes by and gives half of her lunch to you because she knows you are hungry and need some food...You deeply realize that you need your family as much as they need you...You are also glad how gracious your kids are when they receive from you...if only you could keep your kids from arguing with each other over life-changing extremely important stuff like "stop touching me"!

Class Ring

You know you're not single anymore...when your daughter is ordering her class ring...we used to call them Senior rings...but since you can order a ring as a Sophomore, they have a little longer function...Of course you look at the style rings that are available and you think of "the lifestyles of the rich and famous"...Overall, you are happy to start the graduation celebration!

Baseball

You know you're not single anymore...when your son's new baseball coach calls to introduce himself and your first thoughts are "now is the season when you don't live at home but live at the ball fields"...You love this season, but you've learned that any sport is a huge time commitment...You've already started throwing the ball with your son when you get home from work...Of course the next thing will be purchasing all of your son's baseball equipment, which you are ready to take a second mortgage on your home to afford all the newest equipment for tomorrow's budding major league star...You just hope the college scouts will be at your son's first practice next week!

Dinner Time

You know you're not single anymore...when one of the best times you have each day is the family time you have at the dinner table...Each night, you have the most outrageous conversations and you never know what the topic will be that night...You just love embarrassing your kids telling them what you will do when they have their respective first dates...at age 32!...You usually tell your daughter that you will remind her date that you do have a gun and you're not afraid to use it!

Gift Cards

You know you're not single anymore...when you use the gift cards given to you for Christmas/birthday to buy your kids their Spring clothes...You figure that's one way to stay within your budget...Meanwhile you suppose you'll one day purchase clothes for yourself... when the kids graduate!
